    ナクソスの姉妹レーベル、マルコポーロは忘れられたウィーン・ライト・ミュージックの録音を積極的に行なってきましたが、その中でツィーラーは全4枚分発売されました。 このCDは、3枚目にあたるCDで、代表作である『シェーフェルト男爵』行進曲で始まり、13曲収録されています。 指揮者はクリスティアン・ポラック、演奏はラズモフスキー交響楽団。 オケのラズモフスキー交響楽団はスロヴァキアのオケのメンバーからなる団体で、薄い弦に鳴らない金管と、スロヴァキア放送交響楽団やスロヴァキア国立フィルハーモニー管弦楽団と良く似たサウンドです。 演奏も可もなく不可もなくと言った普通の演奏で、どちらかというと収録曲の珍しさという資料的価値のほうが高いでしょうか。 尚、録音・音質は綺麗です。 2000年の録音。

    ヨハン・シュトラウスの後継者、ツィーラーは、レハールもそうだったように、ツィーラーも軍楽隊長の経験があり、多数の行進曲を残しています。 このCDはツィーラーの行進曲だけを集めたCDです。 演奏は、ハンス・シャーデンバウアー指揮の、ウィーン親衛大隊軍楽隊。 吹奏楽編成での演奏です。 ウィーンの団体と言う事もあってか、柔らかいサウンドで、名演とは言えませんが丁寧に演奏されています。 音質良好。
