まず、タイトル。「7つのドウキ」というように7曲の物語が収録されています。こんなにリアリティのある歌詞の曲って最近無いんじゃないでしょうか？リアリティがあるのに素人じゃ絶対に書けない言葉遊びの数々。リアリティがある分、心の中に鋭くぐさーって突き刺さってきます。一度聴いたら次の日もその次の日も頭の中でリピートされてしまう中毒性のあるメロディと、殆どの曲が生演奏による心地よいグループ感。「ドウキ」は「動機」「動悸」「同期」。。。7曲それぞれが存在感があって、でも一貫性があってアルバム一枚通して何度も聴いて、そして、その時の気分によって好きな曲をもう一回リピートして。。。と色々楽しめる一枚です。ソングライティング能力の高さは言うまでも無いですが、歌詞がはっきり聴こえる、芯と艶のある声と歌唱が楽曲の良さを更に引き立てています。特にミディアム・ナンバーNo titleと一発録りでピアノ一本で歌唱したという「夏の終わりを歌う曲があるが」の歌声は鳥肌モノです。夏が終わる前に、ぜひゲットして聴いていただくことをお勧めします。
