アンダーソン・ブラッフォード・ウェイクマン・ハウと90125イエスに分裂していたイエスが1991年に2つのユニットを合体させ行った復活ライヴ! 永らく入手困難となっていた“8人イエス”のライヴ音源が、オリジナルのアートワークを手掛けたロジャー・ディーン自ら日本のファン向けにアートワークをモディファイした日本独自仕様でリリース決定！

アンダーソン・ブラッフォード・ウェイクマン・ハウと90125イエスに分裂していた状況から一転して、1991年にふたつのユニットが合体してイエスが復活。アルバム『結晶』をリリース後、ツイン・ギター／ツイン・ドラム／ツイン・キーボードを擁する8人編成で大規模なツアーを行っている。本作はそのツアーから91年8月8日・カリフォルニア州マウンテンビュー公演の模様を収録したもの。もともとはテレビで放映され、99年に日本でのみ映像ソフト化されたライヴであり、今回のリリースにあたり映像、音声ともに徹底してリマスタリング! さらに今回の日本発売にあたり、オリジナル・アートワークを手掛けたロジャー・ディーンが日本向けにアートワークをモディファイした日本独自仕様! イエス史上でも最も特異な編成で行われたこの91年ツアーを、文字通り集大成した充実した内容に仕上がっている。イエスのコアなファンのみならず、すべてのロック・ファンにとって必携の作品であることは言うまでもない。

    このライブは見損なうと二度と見る事はできないと思い 武道館に２日行ったのを覚えています。案の定でしたね 演奏はグループが大きく二つに分かれている印象でした スティーブハウとトレバーラビンが長く一緒にするわけないわな 無くなる前に買ってけ！

    CDだけじゃなくて、DVDも集めようと思うきっかけになった作品です。凄い良かったです。ﾒﾝﾊﾞｰが楽しそうに演奏してる姿がみられます。映像でみてこんなに素晴らしいなんて、実際8人ｲｴｽみた人はどんなに楽しかったんでしょう! 曲単位では「Saving My Heart」が意外に良い曲だったって事がわかった事が収穫です。

    ８人大所帯イエスでも、演奏はさすが！悟りの境地は期待以上。欲を言えば、実際のライブに比べて収録曲の少ないこと。55分ずつ収録のCD２枚組ではもったいない。当日のライブには、ショック・トゥ・ザ・システムやリフト・ミー・アップ、変革などがあったはず。アルバム中の何曲かのソロ演奏は８人イエスには不要だが、貴重なアランとビルのドラムデュエットがアルバムに収録されていないのは残念。いつか完全版がでることに期待。
