まずジャケットの写真に目を引かれ、次にタイプライターで打ったようなタイトル文字が気になり、さらに曲目内容が「ムーブメント１」～「ムーブメント５」と表示されているだけの、全く内容がわからない不思議さに惹かれ購入しました。購入当時は、国内盤（ポリドールジャパン）として発売されており、日本語タイトルは「大地の祭礼」となっていました。演奏内容は、それぞれ同じようながリズムが淡々と繰り返され、それにストリングス的な音や、パーカッション的な音が時々加わり、単調な時間が流れていきます。曲の感じを表現すると「太古の地球にある日雨が降り、大地から小さな生命たちが誕生する。」と言う一種の環境音楽とでも言えるでしょうか？いや、音楽と言うよりは、音が鳴っていると言う感じです。聴いているうちに、いつしか不思議な世界に入り込み、音が鳴っていることも忘れます。
