With only two albums released in 90s, veteran Japanese soul singer Tatsuro Yamashita now offers a new B-sides/rarities album ‘Rarities’. Among the 15 songs are covers of Herb Alpert’s ‘To Wait For Love’ (written by Burt Bacharach) and Masayuki Suzuki’s ‘Misty Mauve’ (originally penned by Yamashita for the singer). The album also includes the previously unreleased ‘Love Goes On’ and the long version of his classic ‘Sprinkler’. This fantastic collection is more than a stopgap for collectors; superb offering for every fan of Tatsuro who looks forward to his new full-length album expected some time in the not-so-distant future.

カラオケ付の初回盤を中古で購入したのですが、内容は素晴らしく言うことがありません。　カラオケと言うと安っぽく感じてしまいますが、インストバージョンなので歌入りとはまた別の魅力があり気に入っています。

達郎さんはアルバムアーティストなんです。いわゆる捨て曲がない。シングルのカップリングにも手を抜かない。他のミュージシャンが妥協しているとは思わないですが、その愚直さが半端じゃない。特にお気に入りが『BLOW』でこの曲をかけて車で海沿いを走ったら最高の気分になります。初回限定盤はカラオケ音源がついており、曲の構成や裏側が感じられるようになっています。
