ヴォーカルのT・ボズとチリ、ラップのレフトアイの3人から成るガールズR&Bグループ。LA&ベイビーフェイスが設立したLaFaceから1992年にシングル1「Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg」でデビュー。R&Bとヒップホップを巧みにミックスしたサウンド、個性的なファッション、スキャンダラスなライフスタイルなど、日本も含め全世界のティーンから強い支持を得て、その後の音楽シーンに大きな影響を与えた。2ndアルバムから6「Waterfalls」がSFXを駆使したPVが話題を呼び、7週連続全米No.1を記録。1999年の3rdアルバム『FANMAIL』からは8「No Scrubs」が全米1位を獲得し、日本でもミリオン・セールスを記録した。2002年にレフトアイが事故死をとげ、現在は2人で活動を続けている。
