    なにがトリガーになったのか、”Ebony and Ivory”の見事なハーモニーが突然脳内で再生された。一瞬の出来事だったので続きが気になったが自分のiTunes Libralyには未登録。あきらめきれずに検索するもPaul McCartneyのCDに手頃なものはなかった。iTunes Storeでピンポイントにダウンロードすることも考えたがそれではおもしろくないので、相方のMichael Jacksonを調べたところ今度は収録アルバムがない。権利関係でもめたのだろうか？　などと考えながら調査を進めた結果、ようやくここにたどり着いた。幌馬車に並んで座るPaulとMichaelの記憶は、どのように捏造またはすり替えられたのだろうか。曲自体は記憶の通り、シンプルでありながら美しくそして深淵だった。失礼な記憶間違いの謝罪の意味も込めて他の曲を聴いてみると、（断片的ながら）耳にしたことがある曲がほとんどだった。1966-96年という30年間の選りすぐりが収録されており、初心者的には急に声が若返るとびっくりしてしまうので、年代順に並び替えてからもう一度。

    これも名盤だね。リアルタイムで聴いていた。う〜ん良いね。当時を思い出すね。是非、聴いて下さい。 PS、ポールマッカトニーとデュエットした、エボニー＆アイボニーは私のお気に入りの曲です。何かこの曲を聴くと勇気が湧いてくる。余談でしたね。
