演奏からプロデュースありとあらゆることまで全て一人でやりきったこのアルバムは、全世界で700万枚というセールスを記録したという。さすが10代半ばから、一線で活躍していることだけあって、有無を言わせぬアルバムに仕上がっている。

シングル曲となったT-1に始まりラストに至るまでの流れは聴く者を惹きつけ、且つ最後まで飽きさせないものとなっています。収録曲の中では、私は、イントロ部の長さを感じさせないドライブ感に溢れたT-6が一番好きです。殆どの評論家は賞賛しないが、私の中では大傑作アルバム。買ってよかった！

This was a fine example of an artist whose sixties output matched any, with Traffic in particular, coming to terms with new technology--and creating some fine music in the process. While You See a Chance dotted early eighties radio with its shimmering charm, and Winwood’s unmistakably apt pipes. An album of lustre and beauty--and a worthy addition to the ongoing SHM CD reissues series.
