ECMを代表するヴェテラン米国人ベース・プレイヤー、スティーヴ・スワローの新作！

ゲイリー・バートン、ジョン・スコフィールド、カーラ・ブレイ等との活動で知られる米国人ベース・プレイヤー、スティーヴ・スワローの新作。1960年代に『The Groovy Sound of Music』(1963)、『Paris Encounter』(1969)等のゲイリー・バートンのRCA〜Atlantic作品やアート・ファーマー『Interaction』(1963)、『To Sweden with Love』(1964)、『Sing Me Softly of the Blues』(1965)などに客演。1974年のゲイリー・バートン参加の初リーダー作『Hotel Hello』(ECM)で注目を浴びると、以降のバートンによるECM作品に次々と参加。1970年代末からはカーラ・ブレイのバンドのパーマネントなメンバーとなり、そのWatt作品に立て続けに参加。90年代にはポール・モチアンの『Reincarnation of a Love Bird』(1995)、『Play Monk and Powell』(1998)などにも参加した。本作は2011年の末に録音されたクインテット作品で、盟友カーラ・ブレイもオルガンで参加。全曲スワローの作曲。
