    マイ・フェア・レディのオリジナル・ブロードウェイ初演キャストアルバム。舞台のジュリー・アンドリュース版のマイ・フェア・レディのアルバムには2種類ある。こちらは1956年のニューヨーク・ブロードウェイ初演版。（バックが白）もう一方は1959年ロンドン・キャスト版（バックがダークイエロー）。こちらのCDは1956年の3月24日にCBSスタジオ録音とクレジットされている。残念ながら1956年ではあるが当時のコロムビア（米CBSはコロムビア）はMONO録音であったためこのアルバムもMONO。ロンドン版はステレオ録音なのでながらく日本では（ソニーから）ロンドン版ばかりリリースされていた。こちらの1956年版はMONOながら21歳の初々しいジュリー・アンドリュースの美しいソプラノが聴ける！「踊り明かそう」などはどもまでも伸びる高音のなんともすばらしい声が聴ける最高の録音が残っている。MONOとSTEREOどちらを取るかは好みであろうが絶対自分はこのMONOヴァージョンを選ぶ！いや両方とももっている方がいいに決まっている!!

    　映画でジュリー・アンドリュースを採用しなかったのは、ミュージカル(映画)史上に残る大失態でしたね。もしも映画のサントラだけ持っていらっしゃる方がいたら、すぐに買うべし。伸びやかで、時に下町の親しみ易さを感じる歌声、最高です。

    ジュリーアンドリュースの歌が良いです、ミュージカルの舞台の雰囲気がが良く出ています。レックスハリソンの味わい深い歌（台詞？）も聞きもの。
