Product Description

Recorded in Los Angeles, 'Christ Illusion' features eleven tracks produced by Josh Abraham (Velvet Revolver) with Rick Rubin acting as executive producer. Guitarist Kerry King commented, "It's definitely a riff-fest. There's riffs all over the place. I think anybody who likes Slayer, musically, is going to love it."

The album also marks the return of original drummer Dave Lombardo who recently returned to the band having departed after 1991's 'Decade Of Aggression' live album. Renowned as one of metal's greatest drummers, Lombardo's activities since leaving have including five albums with the Mike Patton-led experimentalists Fantomas, forming the progressive thrash band Grip Inc. and collaborating with an eclectic range of artists including John Zorn, DJ Spooky and Apocalyptica.

ポールボスタフは好きなドラマーだった。16,32とリズムを刻み、間もよく、まるでニールパートのスラッシュメタル版。（だから、もっと凄いベーシストとやらせてあげたい気もしたが）デイブロンバードもいいドラマーだが（エンジェルオブデスのラスト部分には痺れた）そのせいか、全体的に昔に戻った感じ。前作、前々作が好きな俺には、物足りない。（レインイン～は、おいといて）⑤は好き。
