Saint-Saens-Lalo-Poulenc : Violin Sonatas

サン=サーンスのソナタのちゃんとした演奏が聴きたくて購入した。「ちゃんとした」というのは、テンポを大く変化させて技術をひけらかし、曲のフォルムを乱すような下品さがない演奏、という意味である。カントロフ、ルヴィエは期待に違わず、全楽章をあるべきテンポとニュアンスで演奏している。驚いたのは第１番の終曲Allegro moltoだ。何という疾走感！途中、前のほうの楽章の主題が戻ってくる部分で、たいていの演奏家（特に若手）はやたらとテンポを落として楽章の統一感を破壊するのに、カントロフとルヴィエはそんなことはしない。そしてラストの息もつかせぬ無窮動的走句へと上り詰める。いやあ、興奮させられた。さて、プーランクは色々な演奏家のアルバムの余白にやたら収録されていてもう十分すぎるストックがあるのだが、ラロのソナタは初聴で、大いに楽しんだ。これを入れてくれたお二人のセンスにも脱帽。

アナログ時代、この曲の面白さが初めて分かった演奏。その後同じ編成でアルゲリッチ盤も聴きましたが、仲間といる楽しさを感じさせるのはこのアルバムです。
