Rumerのセカンド･アルバム。カレン･カーペンターの再来と言われる温かなアルト･ヴォイスはやはりいつ聴いてもいい。70年代を中心として選び抜かれた各曲も声質にマッチして、しっくり来る。しかし、声質や歌唱法にとげがない分、アルバム一枚を通して聴くとちょっと飽きてしまうのが欠点。また選曲もクセのない曲が多く、（どの曲を聴いても決して悪くはないのに）アルバム･トータルとしては平板な印象だった。ファースト･アルバムでは「Slow」「Aretha」「Am I Forgiven」といった心をつかむオリジナル曲があったからこそ、カバー曲の「Goodbye Girl」や「Alfie」が珠玉の輝きを放っていたのだと気づかされる。やはり自作曲＋カバー曲という構成にして欲しかった。もちろんこのアルバムも素晴らしく、是非買うべきだろう。ファースト･アルバムの方が数段良かったという意味で、★４つとした。

素晴らしい。落ち着く。聴いてて気持ちいい。聴くというより、流れていく感じでしょうか。ふと、カーペンターズを思い浮かべます。カバー曲みたいですが、いい曲をセレクトしていて、自分の曲にしてますね。個人的には、サラ・スマイルが、嬉しかった。いつまでも長く聴き続けるアルバムの１枚を見つけました。

素晴らしく美しいアルトで歌われるカバーアルバム。大ヒット曲はあまり見当たりませんが傑出したソングライターの作品を集めた愛のあふれるカバーになっています。ジム・ウェッブのカバーであるP.F.スローンはオリジナルをはるかに超える出来。ほかの曲もオリジナルより好きになってしまうほど。ソングライターとしてもすぐれた才能をもつRumerですが、シンガーに徹した今作でもその能力を発揮しています。一部ではカレン・カーペンターの再来と言われるほどの安定感のあるシンガーですが、カレンの未発表録音、と言われたら本当にそうかな？と思ってしまうよう。
