最期の2枚がPaulの事実上のソロということでこのアルバムがMatsのバンドとしての実質的ラストなんですかね。痛快なロックンロール。だけど⑩とかPaulのその後の作風を暗示した曲もあります。私も②は名曲だと思いますしその後のChilton再評価を予告してると思いますが、生きてる人の名前をそのまま使うのが凄い（本人が迷惑では？）。まともな形でのリイシュー希望。REMより好きだった。

Replacementsの作品はどれも素晴らしいがこの「Don’t Tell A Soul」は間違いなく彼らの最高傑作。産業化がすすんでいた80年代の米国のﾐｭｰｼﾞｯｸ･ｼｰﾝではPaul Westerbergの歌詞とｷﾞﾀｰ･ｻｳﾝﾄﾞは数少ないｼｰﾝの良心だった。後のR.E.Mに与えた影響は大きい。決して成功したﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞとは言えないがWesterbergの書く音楽、私は本当に大好きです。
