Until Miles Davis hired him, Red Garland was barely known outside a circle of Jazz musicians and fans in Philadelphia and New York. With Davis from 1955 to the end of the decade, the pianist from Dallas served as a centering force in the most celebrated and influential quintet of the era. なんといってもこのジャケットの渋さがたまりまへんな。２曲でケニー・バレルが参加していますが、「ヘイ・ナウ」は『グルーヴィ』に収録されているものと同じではないでしょうか？
