アメリカで最もシニカルにストーリーテリングする、美メロ親父ランディ。ピアノ一本で弾き語ったら、あまりにシビアな歌が余計にヒリヒリ。必ずしも彼の社会批判の全てが妥当だとは思わないが、これほど知性を感じさせてくれるソングライターが日本に今どれだけいるのか？と思うと、少し寂しい。キリンジの伯父さんの一人？そんな喩えはどう？
