    1965年ワシントンにあるボヘミアン・キャバーンズでのライブ。ラムゼイ・ルイス（Ramsey Emmanuel Lewis, Jr. 1935年5月27日〜）はアメリカ合衆国イリノイ州シカゴ生まれのジャズ・ピアニスト、作曲家。冒頭から黒人の黒人による黒人のための演奏者と視聴者が一体となった熱狂ライブに度胆を抜かれる。「Crowd」とは「群集」の意味だが当時のラムゼイ・ルイスはどこに行っても熱狂的に迎えられたそうである。またこのアルバムがフュージョンのさきがけとなった歴史的名盤でもある。何よりも楽しむ事の大切さを教えてくれるラムゼイ・ルイスはやはり教祖だ。
