名曲「クリープ」がグランジ以降のスラッカー・アンセムとしてウケようと、前作「ベンズ」が全米でヒットしようとそんな事お構いなしに常に前を向き続けている彼ら。そんな彼らが作り上げた９０年代ロックのある種の理想形を極めたと言っていい作品（但し、発売当初の評価は今程ではなく、ここにきてジワジワ効いて浸透してきた感じ）。わざとらしく盛り上がる派手な曲など無いのに、”感情を人に伝える”といううた本来の力でヴォーカル（トム・ヨーク）が聴き手に迫ってくるさまは、ただただ美しく感動的です。ＯＫ！　何と言おうと傑作だ！

90年代後半のどん詰まり感がそのまま音になってる感じに聴こえました。なかなか普段から聴こうとは思わないけど、luckyやkarma police等かなり好きです。

このアルバムを聴いて１５年前に作られた作品だと誰が思うだろうか。当時からすれば革新的なサウンドでありながら１５年たった今も古さを感じない。混沌の中に入り始めた９０年代の光と影を象徴する、数々のレジェンド達が積み上げてきたロックを新たなる世界へ押し上げた、永久に色あせない名盤。
