Inspired by the success of 2009's critically acclaimed acoustic album Halfpenny Dancer, the band entered Lemon Studios fully intending to repeat that winning formula. However, an Aladdin's Cave of intriguing instruments and eerie samples inspired the Quireboys to push the boundaries and shift the focus. Fans can hear the fruits of the Quireboys' labour's when 'St Cecilia And The Gypsy Soul' is released as part of a luxurious 4CD set - featuring buried treasure and bonus cuts. The new album is packaged alongside Halfpenny Dancer - finally available again - and two discs covering the previously unreleased 2010 Halfpenny Dancer live show featuring fiddles, pedal steel, mandolin, banjo and more! To record the new album, the British The Quireboys were locked up in a recording studio in Sweden, with the plan to record some new songs and their classics in acoustic version. The result was so amazing to generate a new album of 10 songs entitled St. Cecilia And The Gypsy Soul, now available in this DIGIPAK large with the addition of 2 CD recorded live and the reissue of the album Halfpenny Dancer, published in 2009, for a total of 40 tracks of Rock'N'Roll English!
