    Princeの5th.アルバム。1980年代に洋楽の扉をくぐりPrinceの噂も当然、いやというほど大量に耳に入ってきていたがイメージに引きずられ、結局聴かずじまい…物理的なモノはもちろん、アートとしての作品でさえ色褪せるのに十分な30年という歳月を経て初めて体験したときの戦慄はまるで、音楽的racist だと非難されているかのようだった。 本作は全11曲ながら長尺曲が多く、一気に聴こうとすると70分以上かかる。かといって曲単位ではせっかくのアルバムコンセプトが台無しになってしまうので、リリース当時の2枚組LPの4面単位で聴くことが多い。Best Tuneは決められない。Best Sideも難しいが強いてあげるとすれば、ナイトキャップ的役割の SideD。
