ポルポラによる少女聖歌隊のための宗教合唱曲集

リヨンとジュネーヴに挟まれる位置に存在するフランス中央西部の都市アンブロネでは、毎年９月に古楽界屈指の名手達が集う音楽祭が開かれます。本CDでは、2009年９月に行われたアンブロネ音楽祭でのライヴ録音を収録。演奏曲は18世紀を代表するイタリア人作曲家ポルポラの宗教合唱曲集。いずれも1744年にヴェネツィアで開催された聖母被昇天を祝う式典用の合唱曲として、ポルポラがオスペダレット養育院の少女聖歌隊のために作曲したものです。どれも聴き応え十分なものばかりで、ヴェネツィアでも指折りの大養育院を支える少女聖歌隊の実力を実感できます。
　ポルポラの音楽は活動場所を同じくする音楽家ヴィヴァルディとはまた違った魅力に満ち溢れたもの。気品あふれる器楽の伴奏と、女性特有の瑞々しい輝きに満ちた柔らかい歌声とのハーモニーが絶品です。
　ソプラノを歌うのはブラジル出身の歌姫マリリア・ヴァルガスと、アンサンブル・プラネタ脱退後ソリストとしてヨーロッパにも活躍の幅を広げている高橋美千子。アルトを担当するデルフィーヌ・ガルーは、近年ミンコフスキやサヴァールと共演し、フランスを中心にますます注目を集める若手実力派です。大修道院の素晴らしい音響の下、ジェステル率いるル・パルルマン・ド・ミュジークの清廉な演奏と、若手ソリスト達の瑞々しい歌声のハーモニーを堪能することが出来る１枚です。（キングインターナショナル）
