Recently, Astor Piazzolla's tangos have inspired a number of classical artists, but Ma's recording fully explores Piazzolla's range as a composer; his tangos and Milongas, music written for the cello and the unique Tango Remembrances, a duet created with an existing track of Piazzolla on the Bandoneon. ちょっと軽く聞いて、雰囲気を味わったり楽しくなったりするそんなＣＤだと思う。 よくよくかみ締めるのならば、やっぱりピアソラ自身のほうが良いけれど、これはこれで美しい完成されたものだと思う。

久しぶりにヨーヨーマのCDを買ったが、今までになかったジャンルでのチェロということで、チェロ弾きにとっては一度は弾いてみたくなる内容である。譜面があれば自分も練習して弾いてみたい。
