    海賊盤CD、初出の正規盤CD、そしてHQCDと聴いてきたが、今では決してお目にかかることのないような巨匠時代ならではの神々しいライヴだ。完璧な響きだの解釈だのと説明的な評はこの演奏の前ではもはや無力だ。ミケランジェロかミケランジェリかとすら言いたくなるほどの芸術家としての大きさを感じる。当時、対抗できたのはホロヴィッツかポリーニぐらいだろう。特にラヴェルの夜のガスパールは圧巻だ。生で聴いたら一生忘れられないだろう。HQCDになり生々しい音質も磨きがかかり、素晴らしい。その後も来日したが、ピアノが不調だと言って演奏会を全部キャンセルしたり、奇行が話題になった巨匠だが、カルロス・クライバー同様、その完璧主義ゆえに、多くの人々がライヴに接する機会が少なかったのは悔やまれる。埋もれた放送録音の発掘が待たれる。

    音楽のことは他の投稿の方に全面同意。敢えて…ということを申し上げると、ペダルとか床を踏むと思しき音が曲によりかなり目立つ。若林公房の比較的初期の録音のようですが、この辺りは時代を感じさせる事柄として理解すべきかも。それにしても、このショパンの美しさがライブで実現しているとは、素晴らしい。会場で生音で聴いた方は本当に至福の時だったでしょう（羨
