ソロになって四半世紀も過ぎたし、そろそろ自分を見つめなしてみようかと思ったかどうかは定かでない。音楽活動を総括しようと考えたかどうかも分からない。だがセルフ・カバーである。 インスト版がおまけの2枚組を購入してみた。ヒントがインストにあるかもと思ったからだ。だがかつての「Ⅳ-security」と「Birdie」の関係性みたいなものはない。気に入ったら歌ってみろと言わんばかりのオーケストラ が奏でる豪華なカラオケである。 そこで気が付いた。深く考えてはいけない。オーケストラで歌いたかったのだ。誰よりPガブリエル自身が。聴いてあげるなら1枚物で十分である。
