    たくさんのPMGのCDが発売されて、それぞれのCDには、JAMESやARE　YOU GOING WITH ME？やIF I COULDやTELL IT　ALLやその他に名曲も数多くあるけれど、アルバム1枚全体で考えた時、このCDは一つのムードで統一されている。その統一感は、RTFのROMANTIC WARRIORの様。このCDを聞いて何も感じない人は、PMGを聞かなくてもいい、と思えるほどに誰にでも推薦できる。どの曲も良い。PMGでどれか1枚となれば、迷わずこれを選ぶ。

    NHKFMクロスオーバーイレブンで「想い出のサンロレンツオ」を聞いたときの衝撃は今でも忘れません。８分もある曲をノーカット放送でした。この番組では、アジムスのテーマ曲と並んで、今でもマイフェイヴァリットです。アルバム表面は、真っ白でいかにもECMサウンドを象徴しているような印象です。フュージョンの名盤ですね。私にとっては、Gベンソン「ブリージン」　ＧワシントンＪｒ「ワインライト」Ｅクルー「ハートストリングス」と並んで、今でも愛聴盤です。

    ECM Guitar Festivalで初来日したPat Metheny Groupを見て「Phase Dance」にノックアウト！　以来３０年間ずっとファンです。このアルバムを聴くとそのコンサートが昨日のコトの様によみがえります。名盤！！！ 数年前に出た紙ジャケット盤は音が良くなかったので今回は期待。。。
