ジャコ・パストリアス、ボブ・モーゼスらと吹き込んだECMからのデビュー作『Bright Size Life』発表後、まだパット・メセニー・グループ結成前となる1976年9月21日ボストン・ジャズ・ワークショップでのライヴを収録。

『Bright Size Life』収録曲や、「Icefire」、「River Quay」といった翌年発表の『Watercolors』（ライル・メイズ参加）からの今ではあまり聴くことができない初期楽曲はもちろん、アルバム未収録ナンバーも披露したファン必聴のライヴ音源。
