    【曲について】オケゲムのこの曲は、５曲ともそれぞれ個性が際立っていて、素晴らしいものだと思います。特にTractusの声部がからみあって天使が飛び交うような曲想からOffertoriumの厳しく激しい曲想（特にバス声部の動きには驚かされます）に至るあたりは、何度聞いても新鮮です。　【演奏について】過去のPCAやヒリアードのものと比べて、起伏・ふくらみが増して、音楽的に豊かになったと言えます。女声の起用も音色の広がりに一役買っているでしょう。一方で、透明感も素晴らしいです。　【アルバムについて】現代曲と古典を単に並べただけでなく、全体を一つの曲としてとらえて演奏されているように思います。たとえば、Offertoriumから最後のセレンセンの曲に至る流れなど、非常に見事ですし、神秘的なセレンセンの曲と、くっきりと対位法的なオケゲムが対比されて、オケゲムの曲の魅力がよりはっきりと感じられます。ルネサンス期の初期に作られたこの曲が、現代の曲としてよみがえった・・・そんな名盤です。

    ピエール・ド・ラ・リューのRequiemは、自分も御他聞に漏れずシャルル・ラヴィエのLPで知り、それ以降にこれと言った演奏に出会わぬままでした。皆川達夫氏が絶賛されたラヴィエの演奏は、自分にとってはやや器楽に頼り過ぎて、曲本来の姿が見え難い面を感じ、美しさは認めても感動・愛着までには至りませんでした。それだけに、自分もCappella Pratensisの演奏に接してようやく、ラ・リューのこの高名な曲の真価に触れた思いがします。何と言っても、超低音域が売りの難曲を、よくここまで器楽無しで安定して歌い上げたと感心しますし、こうやって声楽のみで聞き通せて初めて、ラ・リューの、同時代のJosquinに較べると多声構造の充実度は一歩譲るけれども、情感が溢れんばかりの魅力が理解できます。名のみ有名なこのRequiemの現在お薦め出来る数少ない盤の一つではないでしょうか。惜しむらくはカップリングの、オケゲムのRequiem。この現存する最古のRequiemは、ラ・リューと反対にPCA,Hilliard始め古くから複数の名演に恵まれており、そういった過去の名盤のレベルにはとても達しない演奏です。公平にみれば、両曲平均した評価にすべきでしょうが、ラ・リューの好演は貴重なので、お薦めとさせて頂きます。
