ブリティッシュロックの系譜で、過去と現在を繋ぐ重要なアルバムだと思う。 リリースから25年以上経つ今も、エバーグリーンな輝きを放っている。

歳をとってもまだ聴き続けられるアルバム。同時期のUSオルタナ・グランジも好きだったけど、子供と一緒に聴くにはちょっと重たいので、、、。そういった意味でも「live forever」なアルバム。

1stアルバムってやっぱり楽しい 1stアルバムの頃は天才ノエルがまだ他人の言うことを聞く気があり、他人の言う事を聞いたうえで、結果オリジナルの才能を見せているところが興味深いと思います まず第一に前面に押し出されたシューゲ趣味 そしてリアムの歌い方はマッギーのアドバイスを参考にしたとか、ボーカルはエンジニアにかなり好きにやらせたとか、他人のアイディアを取り入れてピーターガブリエルの曲のイントロをまねてみたとか、良くも悪くもノエル印から外れたものがまだ沢山含まれている （ノエルのやりたい事しかやらなかった結果がBe here nowだったのと対照的ですね） オアシスはまだ他人の影響の残っている1stか、良くも悪くもノエルオンリーのモニグロか、はオアシスの永遠の議題ですが、最近の私は1st派です
