「ジャズ・ロック」と口にすると「それってフュージョンでしょ？」とかよくいわれますが、私は、それぞれ別のものだと感じています。うまく表現できないですが、フュージョンはジャズの技巧を聴きやすさに収斂していったもの、ジャズ・ロックは、ロックの無意味な（ここ重要です）熱さをジャズのフォーマットで敷延したものと勝手にとらえています。そうした意味でも、このアルバムは真性の「ジャズ・ロック」。マイルズがロックに可能性を見いだしたのと、逆のベクトルなんだとおもいます（もとより較べる意味がないような…影響関係は歴然ですけどね）。みんなに聴いてほしいです。カッチョイイヨ！

これ、まだ売っているんですね。必殺！ぶっとぶことうけあい。しかし「ジャズしか聴かない」「ロックは嫌い」という方々には無用のアルバムかもしれませんけれども。私には忘れることができない2in1です。個別でもオススメ。
