Combining startling cinematography, a superb cast and a riveting script, The Sting is a movie that can quite easily be described as a classic. Redford and Newman are brilliant in their portrayals as the couple of con-men and the supporting cast is one of the strongest you will see in any film, but it is the stylish look of the movie that makes it unforgettable and when you add the brilliant ragtime music of composer Scott Joplin it is easy to see why this film was honoured with 7 Academy awards.

    大昔、若い時に何度も観た映画です。　ポールニューマンとロバートレッドッフォード素敵です。　久々に観たらやっぱり良い。これぞ「娯楽映画！」でしょう。

    歴史に残る傑作。小気味良い展開の中で個々の個性が際立ち、観る者をひきつけていく。この作品で使われたアイディアは、後に様々なところでパクられているように、どんでん返しの頂点に立つ映画ではないだろうか。
