Content Description

彼女との結婚を認めてもらうため、元CIAの頑固者の父親に気に入られようと奮闘する姿を描いたシチュエーション・コメディ。シカゴで看護士をしているグレッグは恋人のパムと今すぐにでも結婚したくてしょうがない。そんな折、パムの妹が結婚することになり、式に出席するためにパムとともにニューヨークの実家へと向かった。それは結婚を切り出す絶好のチャンスになるはずだった。しかし、彼を待っていたのはあまりにも手強すぎる相手だった……。

アメリカでは意外なヒットを記録して続編も作られたファミリー・コメディ。日本とは笑いの感覚が違うため、爆笑するような場面は思ったほど多くはなく、ブラックコメディの要素も強いので鼻で笑うようなシーンだけではなく、多少引いてしまうようなところも。とはいえ、とにかくデ・ニーロ親父がいい味出しています。こんなに存在感のある親だったら近寄りがたいですね。

おもしろいけどこんなに何もかも自分が悪い主人公は初めてだ！見ててイラっとする!!でも続編の「ミート・ザ・フォッカーズ」がいま全米で大ヒットNo.１らしいから一応買ってみました。あまり他の人には勧めきれないけど是非、こういうのも一度観てはいかがでしょうか。デ。ニーロ出演のコメディーもなかなかないですよ

これはなかなか笑えます、主人公がやる事なす事全部裏目に出て、まったく良いとこがないと言うかなさすぎがかなり笑えます。
