Content Description

自社兵器のデモ実験に参加したトニー・スタークは、テロ組織に拉致され兵器の開発を共用されてしまう。だが、天才発明家でもある彼は、敵の目を盗み、戦闘用パワードスーツを作り出し、脱出に成功。その後、自社兵器がテロ組織に悪用されていたことを知り愕然としたトニーは、最先端の技術を駆使し圧倒的な破壊力を持つ新たなパワードスーツを開発。テロを撲滅するため“アイアンマン”となり、命をかけて戦うことを決意する！

アメコミの人気キャラクターを多く抱えるマーベル社（スパイダーマン、ハルク、X-MEN、キャプテン.アメリカ、デア.デビル、等）の人気キャラクターの映画！　天才発明家にして巨大軍事企業のC.E.O　超が付くプレーボーイでもあるトニースターク（ロバート.ダウニーJr）が自身が開発した「アーマースーツ」に身を包み悪と戦う勧善懲悪の分かりやすさも手伝って全米でもメガヒット！！本国アメリカでは本作がヒットした為に続編が2作作られる事が早くから決定しており、2010年には「アイアンマン2」も公開され本作同様にヒットしている！！本作の監督、ジョン.ファブロー自身もトニーのお抱え運転手役でカメオ出演したり、「インクレティブル.ハルク」においては、ロバート.ダウニーJrが「トニースターク役」でカメオ出演するなど今後、マーベル社が保有するキャラクターの映画には違う映画のレギュラーキャラクターが友情及びカメオ出演する事が多くなるとの事なので、ますます楽しみなシリーズである！！

元はアメコミなので話は単純明快。アイアンマンを創造する過程は、近未来を観ているようで楽しいし、スーツも非常によく出来ていると感じられた。過大な期待をせずに観れば十分に楽しめる娯楽作。

正直に言いますと映画公開時、（原作も読んだことがなく）ノーチェックでした。レンタルが開始されＢＤを視聴したところ凄く良いんです！「何が？」って…、ハリウッド映画の醍醐味っていうか、娯楽映画はこうあるべきというか、痒いところに手が届く映画で文句無しです。当然即購入。我が家では、BD及びホームシアターのデモンストレーション用ソフトとして大活躍です。映画好きな友人、知人には『一家に1枚あるべきBDソフト』として勧めています。【アイアンマン2】も楽しみですね。
