マイク・オ―ルドフィールド三作目。器用なこの人の、ケルト、アイリッシュ風味で彩られた、約20分ほどの2曲の音楽抒情詩。チ―フタンズのパディ・モロニーの奏する、イーリアン・パイプの音は、身を切るようで、出色。ギター、シンセ、伝統楽器、打楽器で多重録音、ちょっとイカレテしまった、自然と郷愁の音楽。濃厚な感情が表出するかと思えば、幼年期の回想音楽っぽく急に変ったりで、これも、アイルランドの伝統音楽の様。マイクは、この後、この路線と売れ線のPop Music　の狭間で、ヴァージンレコードの総帥、リチャード・ブランソンと金銭の醜い争いしながら、マギー・ライリーの美声とともに、ヒット曲を出しつつ、インスト路線も堅持していく。「Five Miles Out」、サイモン・フィリップスと組んだ「Discovery」と並んで、私の中では、とても好きな、良く聴く曲だ。心が、落ち着く名盤。

マイクというとチューブラが強烈すぎて、正直その他はあまり聞き込んでこなかった。オマドーンも今まではあまり関心がなく初期三枚では、聞く回数が一番少なかったが、これを買って聞いたら、ほんとに素晴らしい！今までの２枚が映像的な部分も多分にあると思うが、この作品は真のスピリチュアルミュージックだと思います。傷ついた魂が癒される癒しの桃源郷です。本当にお勧めします。

demoの演奏には驚く無かれ！今回の企画で音のクリアーさ？　ディテールのこまやかさは、手に取るほどの違いがあるのですが。。どちらかというと　２０１０盤よりも１９７５Mixceをパストラルな風を感じましたが、？　でも？みなさまは　？
