キューバが生んだ伝説のギタリスト。Ibrahim FerrerやOrlando Cachaito Lopezの多くの作品でその腕を披露し、キューバン・ミュージックを世界に広く知らしめたRy Cooderの大ヒット映画『Buena Vista Social Club』でも紹介され、Cooderのプロデュースによるソロ・アルバム『Mambo sinuendo』ではグラミーも受賞している。

本作は、2011年8月に80歳でこの世を去ったGalbanが2010年に録音した生涯最後の音源と貴重なドキュメンタリー・ビデオを収録したCD+DVD仕様。DVDにはハヴァナ、パリで収録されたGalbanの貴重なインタヴュー等が収められており、Magda Rosa Galban、Trio Esperanca、Eric Bibb、Rosa Passos、Omara Portuondo他の多彩なゲストがGalbanの思い出や逸話を語っている。（メーカー資料より）
