リー・コニッツ（Lee Konitz1927年10月13日〜）はアメリカ合衆国イリノイ州シカゴ生まれのジャズ・アルトサックス奏者、作曲家。アルバムは1957年の録音でパーカーからトリスターノを卒業した新たな旅立ちのクールが冴える。共演者はピアノが名コンビのサル・モスカ、トランペットがドン・フェララ、ベースがピーター・インド、ドラムがシャドー・ウィルソン。まさにクール派を代表する面々で各自のスタイルを程よく演出した名盤。タイトルはそのまま「Very Cool」。うーん何とも涼し。
