The first 30,000 of which will be individually numbered. Originally released in 1976, Presence was recorded during a whirlwind 18-day session at Musicland Studios in Munich, Germany. The album which peaked at #1 in both the U.S. and UK and was certified triple platinum crackles with energy on Zeppelin classics like Nobody s Fault But Mine and Achilles Last Stand and delivers powerful jolts of the group at its visceral best.

このアルバムはやはり１曲目となってしまうが、以外と最後の曲が気に入っている。何となく寂しげな雰囲気でジミーペイジのギターも哀愁感に満ちている。

一曲目のアキレスラストスタンド、激しく重いジョンポールジョーンズとジョンボーナムのリズムセクションに切り裂くように絡みつくジミー・ペイジのギターとロバートプラントのボーカル、とにかく最高のスタートで始まるアルバムです。

小６の時、市民会館で日立のローディ（！？）の展示即売会がありました。 当時はまだ「町の電気屋さん」時代で、電気屋のおじさんが「自分のレコー ド持ってきていいよ」とおっしゃったので、当時聞きまくっていた BAY CITY ROLLERSのベスト盤をもって、自転車をこいで会場に行きました。 「どのコンポで聞こうかな」とうろうろしていると、ちょっとインテリっ ぽい高校生のお兄さんが聞いていたのがこの「プレゼンス」でした。 ちょうど「アキレス最後の戦い」が爆音でかかっていて、「何だこれ は！！？」とショックを受け、スピーカーの上に置いてあったライナー ノーツを見て「全部で７曲しかない！！」（BCRは片面で７，８曲で したから（笑））と２度ショックを受け、翌週にはこのレコードを 買いました。それから４０数年、私の人生におけるすべてのカテゴリ （音楽、スポーツ、映画、文学、政治・・）の絶対的ナンバーワンが LED ZEPPELINになりました。 宝くじもろくに当たったことのない私ですが、ZEPについては神様が味方 してくれるのか、1996年のPAGE ＆ PLANT福岡公演の翌日には、ホテルで 朝にPAGE師匠、夕方にPLANT師匠と遭遇し、握手＆サインをいただき、 2007年のＯ２再結成時は奇跡的にチケット当選し、見に行ってきました。 そんなツェッペリンのアルバムの中で、欧米では何故か評価の低いこの 作品ですが、絶対そんなことはありません。「音」が一つのエネルギー （COSMIC ENERGY!!)の塊となって押し寄せてきます。 「アコースティックがないからZEPのアルバムとしてはダメ」というのは あまりに短絡的な考え方です。 巷では異常なまでのクイーンブームですが、クイーンでいわゆる「クラシック ロック」を体験した若い方、どうかレッド・ツェッペリンも聞いてみて ください。さらに奥深いロックの醍醐味を体験できることを保証します！
