Deluxe two CD edition containing a bonus CD that includes alternate mixes of the album tracks. Digitally remastered edition of the British Rock quartet's fourth studio album, originally released in 1971. Although the album was untitled, it is commonly referred to as LED ZEPPELIN IV. Produced by guitarist Jimmy Page, it was recorded between December 1970 and March 1971 at several locations, most prominently the Victorian house Headley Grange. The album features many stone cold classics including 'Black Dog', 'Rock And Roll' and 'Stairway to Heaven'. in 1968, John Bonham, John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant formed Led Zeppelin, one of the most influential, innovative and successful groups in modern music. The band has sold more than 300 million albums worldwide with a celebrated catalog.

どうしても前半の有名曲にばかり目が行きがちだが、後半にも目玉は多い。 独特なリズムワークの⑥牧歌的な⑦これぞレッドツェッペリン的なブルースハードロック⑧。特に⑧はこのアルバムの曲の中で一番好き。曲終盤のギター・ドラムス・ベース・ブルースハープ・が混在となって突き進んでゆく様は何回聴いてもゾクゾクする。

今回のバージョンにて、「デラックス」なのは装丁と、ハイレゾ音源を指すのでは？このようなＣＤ盤にまで、いつまで「デラックス」と冠するのか、その意義が少しも理解できない…残念ながら。 それと、どうして、評価欄を別にせず、前バージョンまでの高評価に乗っかったような形に捨て置いてるのか…。新バージョンへの反応や評価は想像以上に低かったということか？ しばらく様子見していたが、配信はともかく、パッケージ販売については全くと言っていいくらい、新録音の意義が見いだせない。二代ほど前の旧音源でのＬＰ単体の再発だけでマニアは満足したのでは？　販売する側が、単に自分が欲しかったとか予算消化だけの理由で、ここまでマニアックかつ高価で売れそうにもない、ますます作品の中身から乖離した”雑貨セット”をズラズラ並べた…といった印象しかない。「食玩」ならぬ「音玩」だ。これは果たして言い過ぎか？ それと…たまたまハイレゾで聞いた新録自体も、どうも音のクリア感よりバラバラ感を感じてしまうのは気のせいだろうか？もしも再生機器側の問題ならば、かなり環境を選ぶ音ということだ。至福のひとときを味わっているコアなファンもいるかも知れないが、やはり自分にとっては無縁のようだ。

内容的には非の打ちどころのない作品ですが、2014リマスターは 音的にバランスが良くないですね。 ジミー・ペイジのギターが前へ出過ぎて、リズム隊とのバランスが 悪いです。 ブラック・ドッグのバスドラはタムタムにしか聴こえません。 この作品は、ぜひＵＫオリジナル盤のレコードで聴いていただきたいです。 五臓六腑に沁みわたります。 でも、一番迫力があるのはＵＳシングル盤のモノラルです。 腰が抜けます。
