Product Description

Much-anticipated unit by Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys and Miles of Rascals (and ex-Little Flames) is now unveiled! The two have been recording since last year and there was a lot of rumour about their album release, though they never got to disclose any details about their project until very recently.

They finally announced their unit name: Last Shadow Puppets, along with the release of debut album "The Age Of The Understatement". Produced by James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, who also worked on Arctic Monkeys' "Favourite Worst Nightmare".

'08年発表｡音楽を自分で作ってみたい--そう思ったことのある人なら､このﾗｽﾄ･ｼｬﾄﾞｳ･ﾊﾟﾍﾟｯﾂのやり方は参考になるに違いない｡ｱｰｸﾃｨｸ･ﾓﾝｷｰｽﾞのｱﾚｯｸｽ･ﾀｰﾅｰと､大親友でﾗｽｶﾙｽﾞのﾌﾛﾝﾄﾏﾝ､ﾏｲﾙｽﾞ･ｹｲﾝによるこのﾕﾆｯﾄは､なにしろｽﾀｰﾄ地点として｢ｽｺｯﾄ･ｳｫｰｶｰの"ｼﾞｬｯｷｰ"みたいな曲を作ってみたい｣という思いがあったのだとか｡たしかに､ﾃﾞﾋﾞｭｰ作『ｼﾞ･ｴｲｼﾞ･ｵﾌﾞ･ｼﾞ･ｱﾝﾀﾞｰｽﾃｲﾄﾒﾝﾄ』では､ｼﾞｬｯｸ･ﾌﾞﾚﾙの曲をｶﾊﾞｰしていたころのｽｺｯﾄ･ｳｫｰｶｰ的なあでやかさもあれば､ﾃﾞｳﾞｨｯﾄﾞ･ﾎﾞｳｲのﾒﾛﾃﾞｨやﾊﾞｶﾗｯｸ風の軽快な曲まで､様々なｻｳﾝﾄﾞが22歳ならではの目線で現代にﾘﾊﾞｲｽﾞされている｡ ｱﾚｯｸｽは今回､ｱｰｸﾃｨｸ･ﾓﾝｷｰｽﾞではできない｢60年代ﾎﾟｯﾌﾟｽの音作り｣を存分に楽しんだようだ｡ｺﾞｰｼﾞｬｽなｽﾄﾘﾝｸﾞｽや壮大なｺｰﾗｽなども取り込んだ音からは､新鮮な横顔が見え隠れする｡ ﾛｯｸにとらわれず､広い目線で音楽を見つめるさまも､頼もしい一枚だ｡

自分こういうｻｳﾝﾄﾞって嫌いだったんですが、こいつらのおかげで好きになりました。 ｱﾚｯｸｽとﾏｲﾙｽﾞの声がイイ感じ。国内盤のﾗｲﾅｰﾉｰﾂではｱﾚｯｸｽのことばっかり書いてあったのがちょっとｲﾗっときました。
