    中期のヒット集です。②、⑨あたりはめちゃカッコイイです。ダンスクラシックとしても有名です。この頃の評価はがた落ちなのですが、後期(90s’以降この時期のアルバムは全部お薦め)で見事盛り返しをみせ、かっこ好いｃoolなサウンドを聞かせてくれます。しかしオリジナルは今の所全て廃盤です。一刻も早い再発を願って止みません。

    中期でももっと良い曲いっぱいあるけどとりあえずコレで、あとはオリジナルをお薦めします。じつは funkバンドというのはオリジナルの方が断然良いのです。ヒット曲用は白人さん向けに作って本当に黒い(洗練された音楽)楽曲郡はほとんどアルバムに収められているからなのです。

    格好良いファンキービートが聞きたければ初期のKool＆The Gang。　これは中期の彼らでブラコン時代を知るには絶好の盤です。が彼らにとってもブラックミュージック史にとっても微妙な時期ではありますがこれも重要な歴史。
