Jazzの女性ボーカルCDには、最近特に何回も失望させられていた。幾つかのレーベルが誇大宣伝する美人のボーカリストは、99%が歌はへたくそである。2年間の間にそのような美人ボーカリストのCDを何枚買ったか。その観点から言うと、Karrinは（失礼ながら）特に美人系でもないが歌は最高である。特に好きな曲は、Say It, Too Young To Go Steady, What’s New, Everytime We Say Goodbyeなどである。ジョン・コルトレーンのBalladsとほとんどが同じ構成のトリビュートCDであるし、数曲はサックスの素晴らしいサポートが聞けるのだが、それは敢えて気にしなくてもよい。ゆっくりとしたペースで歌い上げてくれるKarrinを、ウィスキーを傾けながらじっくり聞こう。

アリソンのCD，特にこのＣＤは，肩の凝らないくつろいだ内容だ。軽いけど，最近ありがちなフォーキーで癒し系のボーカルではなく，アリソン流のフレーズを散りばめたりっぱなジャズになっている。バック陣の演奏もすばらしい！
