DVD目当てで『BRITISH STEEL 30th Aniniversary Edition』を購入した。 LOUD PARK2009で『BRITISH STEEL』再現ライヴを見た。いつライヴ活動から身を引くか分からないので、来日公演は見届ける思いも含め参戦している。もうこのプリーストは見られないんだね。どうせならBDにして欲しかった。『PAINKILLER』30周年まで頑張れとは言わない。しかし、世界中のメタル・ファンは、『SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE』と『DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH 』の 2枚の金字塔アルバムを合わせた30周年記念ワールドツアーは望んでいるだろう。ライヴ活動から身を引くのはその後だ！もう少し頑張れと言いたい。

ボーナスＤＶＤの“３０周年記念完全再現ツアー”のパフォーマンスがとても素晴らしいです。以前の再結成時の日本公演を収めたＤＶＤではロブの衰えが痛々しかったり、グレンのプレイがヨレヨレしていましたが、ブリティッシュ・スティールのパフォーマンスが今のバンドにとってさほど負担にならない物であったとしても、６０前後（！！）の高齢のメンバーがこれほどパワフルで正確なプレイを披露できるとは、やはり彼らは“メタルゴッド”以外の何者でもありません！ロブもナチュラルなハイトーンや、地声での音程の高低はかなりきつそうですが、「ハルフォードⅢ」で聴ける様に“今のロブのコンディション”を考慮した楽曲であれば、まだまだ素晴らしい歌声を聴かせてくれます。
