若かりし頃のクラプトンの最高のプレイが聴ける。レスポ－ルのクラプトンですよ。クラプトンと言ったらストラットだけど、この頃はレスポ－ルを弾いてた。それもあってか、粘りがあり、音も太く聞え、ボリュ－ム感のある生き生きとしたプレイがてんこ盛り。このクラプトンのプレイはかなり躍動感があって、なかなか良い。stormymondayなんかたまらないね。クラプトンが神と呼ばれたのも分かるよ。歴史的名演ですよ。是非聴いて下さい。

ローリング・ストーン好きでもブルース・ロックファンはミック・テイラー在籍時のサウンドに心惹かれる人は多いと思う。そのミック・テイラーがストーンズに参加する以前にジョン・メイオールのブルースブレイカーズにエリック・クラプトン、ピーター・グリーンに続く第3のギタリストとして迎えられ発表したのがこのアルバム。ストーンズ在籍時最後のアルバム「イッツ・オンリー・ロックンロール」での各パートでのギターソロは秀逸、後年の活躍が垣間見れるアルバムである。
