Product Description

John Kite's love and passion for the great songwriters and composers of the 20th century inspire brilliantly colored improvisations every time he sits at the piano. John met producer and drummer Ben Makinen (of Bmakin Music) in Denver, Colorado in 2003 and the two made a deep and lasting musical relationship that has led to the recording of John Kite's debut, Anything Goes! Kite developed his craft as an accompanist with choirs and small ensembles touring across the US and throughout Europe. Upon moving to Denver in 1983 John began performing solo piano for audiences in the city's finest hotels and restaurants. His effortless mastery at the piano attracted a dedicated following of listeners eager to hear Broadway show tunes segue into jazz standards and rock & roll classics. John single-handedly produced a concert program bringing cabaret singers from New York to share the stage with local Denver luminaries. 'Cabaret at the Club' was an instant success in Denver and had a record-breaking four-year run. In 1987 Denver's most grand and glorious hotel, The Brown Palace, leapt at the opportunity to have John Kite perform for their international and world-renowned guests, and John has been playing and singing there ever since! President Bill Clinton and Russian President Boris Yeltsin were charmed and captivated by Kite's performance of jazz standards at The Brown Palace while in Denver for 1995's Summit of the Eight. .
