フル・ネームはインガー・マリエ・グンデルセン。ノルウェーの小さな町アーレンダールに生まれ。地元ビッグ・バンドのリード・シンガーを6年間つとめ、その後自身の率いるクインテットMY FAVORITE STRINGSで活動。ノルウェー屈指のジャズ・ギタリストであり人気グループTRIO DE JANEIROを結成したトム・ルンドとも活動後、レギュラー・クインテットと共に初めてアルバム制作。地元の小さなレーベルKULTUR&SPETAKKELからリリースされた本作品はHMV渋谷のジャズ・コーナーから火が付きHMVのジャズ・チャートのTOPを独走。2004年を代表する女性ジャズ・ヴォーカルアルバムとなりました。ノラ・ジョーンズ以降のジャズ・テイストなヴォーカル作品の先駆けとなった傑作。

    渋谷HMVで視聴してしびれました。1ヶ月後ぐらいに行ったらもう全て完売。今はほぼ毎日聞いています。癖が無く心を癒してくれる歌声です。

    横浜店の試聴機で聴いて衝動買いしてしまいました。。現代女性jazzvocal ではdiana krallが一番好みですがこの方もなかなか良いと思います。あと、バックのホーンとかもいい感じでした。
