ジュビリー・レーベルの美人歌手の一人、イレーネ・ウッズは1930年頃にニューハンプシャーで生まれている。母親と叔母が芸人という関係から、彼女も幼少の頃から自然と芸事をたしなむようになった。そしてラジオ歌手を経て、ディズニーの名作アニメ「シンデレラ」の主役の声の吹き替えを務めるなど活躍をみせたが、それ以降の彼女の消息は全くと言っていいほど知られていない。イレーネ・ウッズは唄が取り立てて上手いという訳ではないが、可憐で儚げな雰囲気を持った、中々魅力的な歌い手である。これは彼女が吹き込んだただ1枚のリーダー・アルバム。ミディアムからスローなナンバーを中心に、全12曲を収録している。
