グラント・グリーンの人気盤。特に、表題曲の長いこと、長いこと。まさか、こんなのを一発目に持ってくるなんて、かなり確信犯です。日本では特に、ジャズ喫茶で重宝されたらしいです。ジャズ喫茶といえば、あれこれ能書きといっしょじゃないとジャズが聴けなくなった諸悪の根源。早く、そこから脱しないといけませんね。

ギタージャズものいろいろ聴きましたが１番好きです。すばらしい曲と演奏、サイドマンも文句なし。あんまりいいんでＳＡＣＤ購入を決意しました。

グリーン作曲「ｊｅａｎ　ｄｅ　ｆｌｅｕｒ」、ピアソン作曲「ｎｏｍａｄ」では、新主流派の面々と、バリバリのハード・バップを展開。ファンキーでソウルフルが身上のグリーンが、ハード・バップというのも、考えてみれば少ないと思う。ＭＪＱで有名な「ｄｊａｎｇｏ」も収録。「ｉｄｌｅ　ｍｏｍｅｎｔｓ」では、泣きのギターも聞かせている。
