本編＆ミニゲーム
本編は『アドベンチャーパート』と『ミニゲームパート』に分かれています。物語を進めて行くと、
ミニゲームをクリアすることで、ストーリーが進み追加要素が開放されます。
合計で１８種類のミニゲームパートがあり、ゲームによってタッチペンでの操作ができます。
またＤＳ版ならではの、横持ち操作ができるゲームもあります。

ＤＳ版追加要素
・薄桜鬼歌留多
　対戦相手には、攻略キャラ６人とサブキャラクター４人の合計１０人を用意。
　札には、本編中のＣＧとキャラクターフレーズをそれぞれ９９種類ずつ使用。
　歌留多に使われるイベントＣＧ等は『ギャラリーモード』で鑑賞することも可能です。
　さらに、ゲーム中の対戦相手は戦況に合わせてフルボイスでリアクションをとり、
　本当に２人で歌留多を遊んでいるかのようにゲームを盛り上げてくれます。
・キャラ時計
　本編クリア後のおまけとして薄桜鬼オリジナル時計の使用が可能になります。
