ピアフの幸せそうに微笑んでいるジャケットに惹かれ買いました。日本盤なので、対訳も付いており安心です。収録曲の内、約７割はモノラル録音。リマスターもされているので、音質も良いです。代表的な曲がほぼ網羅されています。私はジャズ、クラシック、POPS、ボサノヴァ、ワールド音楽などなど‥あらゆる音楽が好きで、色々なCDをよく聞きますが、彼女ほど歌に力がこめられている歌手も滅多に出逢えない気がします。シャンソンの世界に息吹があるのです。

ジャケット写真が違う？なんで？まあ結論から言うと、ADDという、モノラル録音を再現するのによく選択される手法で、”エターナル”という２枚組みと同等かそれ以上の音質。元ネタが古いのでこれ以上望むのは無理かと思います。”エターナル”は日本語歌詞が見たかったから買ったので。これでもかとシャンソンが聴けます！値段がこれでこの音ならお買い得かと思います！
