全盛期の洗練されたイメージとは少し異なるけど、人種差別がまだ色濃く残る当時の米国において、彼等が苦労の末に掴む栄光の一歩手前のアルバム。荒削りで汗臭い彼等の底知れぬパワーを感じる。アースの原点とも言える。
