Product Description

2015 release from the melodic hard rockers, their 11th studio album overall and first in seven years. Recorded earlier this year at front man Joe Elliott's studio in Dublin, Ireland, the album features 14 tracks in total. Said Joe Elliott, This album came together very organically. We didn't sit down to create an album but started writing together and suddenly had 14 songs. Although we recorded it over a period of a year while we were out touring, it really came together in 9 or 10 weeks. It all had a very organic flow to it and we are excited for our fans to now hear it. Includes the single 'Let's Go'.

新譜と聞いて飛んで買いに来ました。 CDで買う事でジャケット、写真、詩を楽しみ、音楽を大事にする気持ちが 一層増した。 新曲はかっこよくで、いい意味でデフデパートらしいと思います。 今聞き込み中

1曲目のLet’s Goは先日のライブでも1曲目でしたね。発売後1週間程度の割には大いに盛り上がりました。ミドルテンポなので、勢いはないけど、いかにもライブ向きの、わかりやすいサビが印象的。Pour Some Sugar On Meに似てるなんて話もありますが。2曲目のDangerousはもっと勢いあって、いかにもDef Leppardな曲。ライブで新曲はLet’s Goだけだったけど、これもやってほしかった。3曲目はベースから始まる、QueenのAnother One Bites The Dustっぽい曲。全盛期のQueenみたいな感じ、とかJoeは言ってるみたいだけど、まんまじゃん。4曲目は各メンバーがソロで歌う部分があるのがポイント。バラードと言えるかは微妙だけど、その手の曲で、ヒットしそう。10曲目はLed Zeppelinっぽかったり、70年代の要素はけっこう多いです。そこまではわかるんだけど、なんかBon Joviっぽいのがあるのがちょっとねー。Joeはもう高い声は出せないけど、このバンドには分厚いコーラスがあるから、大丈夫。隙のないアルバムとは言えないけど、タイトル通りDEF LEPPARDなアルバム。

お帰り！ 「Mirror Ball」を挟んだから久々感は無い（でも4年？）けど、「Songs From Sparkle Lounge」からはもう7年も経っていたのか…。 「Let’s Go」は「Pour Some〜」っぽい出だしだけど、中身は別物！ Liveでも最初から頂点に持っていってくれました。 「Man Enough」はQueenっぽさがあったり、「Battle Of My Own」や「Last Dance」、「Blind Faith」といったところはLED ZEPPELINの影響も感じたりするけど、「Let’s Go」を始め、全体がはLEPSによるLEPSへの敬意や感謝といった感じに聞こえる。 全アルバムをもう一度聞きなおして、このアルバムの前に「Yeah！」を聞いてからこのアルバムを聴いてみると、このBandの芯が改めてよく解る。 これだけ長いことやっていても、LEPSはまだまだ進化しているということを感じます。 とにかく、良いです！
